MARIA CRISTINA SARNO
Maria Cristina Sarno is a specialist in the restoration of stone and wall paintings, graduating from the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples in 2024.
Her early career includes a prestigious internship in Amelia International Conservation Studies in Amelia (TR) and extensive field work in Rome and Florence, where she restored iconic sites such as the Piazza Farnese fountains and Villa Medici.
Recognized for academic excellence, Maria won first prize at the 2024 National Prize of Arts for her innovative research on plaster cast restoration and anti-graffiti technologies.
Currently, she is part of the A.L.E.S. conservation project at the Pompeii Archaeological Site, focusing on stone, mosaics, and frescoes. In addition to her field work, Maria serves as a University Assistant at the Academy of Fine Arts of Naples and is a specialized technical operator in laser cleaning for cultural heritage.
