Conservator, from 1985 official of the Italian Institute for Conservation of Cultural Heritage (ICR Rome), responsible for national and international projects on conservation of monuments, buildings and sites.

Lecturer at ICR, Academies of Fine Arts of Napoli and L’Aquila (Conservation of Natural and Artificial Stone); coordinator of international training courses on stone conservation (Forbidden City, Beijing; CIK Belgrade, Serbija; Leptis Magna, Lybia).

Coordinator for ICR of the European Project Nanocathedral, Nanomaterials for conservation of European Architectural Heritage; researcher and author of publications on innovative technologies in stone conservation.

Member of the Italian task force Unite4Heritage and coordinator of emergency interventions on cultural heritage after earthquakes and natural disasters.

Member of National (UNI) and International (CEN) Standardization Bodies, member of ICOM, Conservation Committee.

Art and Humanities consultant for the American Academy (AAR) and for the French Academy (Académie de France) of Rome.
