LAURA CHIGNOLI

Laura Chignoli is a freelance accredited book and paper conservator and restorer since 1994. She takes care of any kind of paper or parchment artefacts belonging both to public and private collections.

She studied conservation and restoration of antique and modern books, manuscripts, prints and drawings in Florence, Cremona, Volterra, Urbino and Centro del Bel Libro in Ascona (Switzerland).

Laura also went through an extensive training in the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale di Firenze.

Throughout time she specialized on large maps and modern paperback books. From July 2000 and July 2001 she held the position as Restorer in the Marciana Library’s Paper Conservation Laboratory in Venice. Recently she collaborated as Senior Conservator for the restoration project of 608 manuscripts belonging to the Notarial Archives of Valletta in Malta.
